Getting started
Create an account or sign in
Open pipress.xyz/login. You will see two tabs, Sign in and Create account, and two ways to do either:
- Nostr. If you already have a Nostr identity, click Continue with extension to sign with a browser extension, or choose Use a secret key (nsec) instead and paste your key. If you are new to Nostr, PIPress can create a key pair for you. It shows your public ID (an
npub, safe to share) and your secret key (annsec). The secret key is your account. Save it somewhere safe before you continue; nobody can recover it for you. - Email. Type your address and PIPress emails you a one-time sign-in link. There is no password.
Your keys never leave your browser. PIPress signs a challenge locally and never sees your secret key.
You can attach both methods to one account later, under Settings → Account, so you can sign in either way. You can also keep several accounts and switch between them from the menu at the bottom of the left rail.
Three questions
The first time you sign in, PIPress asks three questions:
- What best describes you? Researcher, analyst, investor, editor or practitioner.
- Which areas do you follow? Pick as many domains as you like across the two tracks, Blockchain and AI & Tech (also labelled IS&T in places). This is the one that matters: your personal feed and your emails are built from these areas.
- How deep do you want to go? Theory, deployments, markets, or everything.
You can skip this and change any answer later under Settings → Research preferences, or just tell PI: "follow Lightning and AI Safety for me".
Finding your way around
Signed in, you land in the PI workspace. The left rail has:
- New conversation to start a chat with PI.
- Live claims, the feed of everything PIPress has published.
- Uploaded files, Artifacts and Reports: the files you attached, the documents PI wrote for you, and the reports you assembled.
- Your recent conversations, with a search box.
- Your name at the bottom. Click it for My Research Profile, Settings, Wallet, switching accounts and Sign out.
The public pages, reachable from the site's navigation, are the feed (/feed), the domain directory (/ecosystems), the knowledge map (/knowledge-map), the blog and news, and pricing.
